Here's why Leyland is the #1 High Performance Graphite Shaft.  In a recent independent blind shaft test in which a large group of pros hit the same club using 35 different manufacturers shafts, the Leyland 2.8 shaft was chosen 'the preferred shaft', the top honor awarded.

  • Leyland manufactured shafts will match and perform flawlessly and have a lifetime guarantee.  They are as close to 100% round as technology will permit.

  • Torque is the measure of how many degrees the club head can twist when contacting the ball.  Lower torque generally means straighter shots.

  • The Exeter Competition has a very low torque of 2.2º and weighs 74 grams.  The Exeter Comp. is a mid/high flex point shaft recommended for strong hitters and comes in S and X flexes, champagne color.  $10 is added (over the Leyland 2.8) for this shaft.

  • The Leyland 2.8 has 2.8º torque with 74 grams.   This mid-flex point shaft was the given the award of "Most Hitable and Consistent"   shaft in the midprice range.   The Leyland 2.8 is available in R or S flexes with colors: Black, Maroon, Black/Burgundy, and Black/Silver (tip). 

  • The Leyland High Modulus LT is designed for the golfer that wants moderate torque control without giving up quality. The wood shafts have a 3.3º torque for R & S flexes with a weight of 87 grams; while the L and A flexes have a 4.5º torque and weigh 80 grams.  For irons, the torque drops to 4.0º for L and A flexes and weighs 78 grams; but for the R and S flexes, the torque is only 3.3º and weighs 84 grams.  The Leyland LT is available in Black and Steel Blue.  Great choice for irons and fairway woods.

The NEW Proforce XL, designed for the larger driver heads, features a 61 gram weight, mid kick and a torque of 3.9 in a pleasing Purple/Gold/White colors.  The Proforce 55 features 63g weight with a mid kick and a torque of 4.3º.  The combination of a stiff tip and lower torque gives the mid-high kick ProForce 65 (3.5º torque) and high kick ProForce 75 (3.2º torque) graphites extra stability for tighter shot patterns, especially on off-center hits.  Designed for stronger players  to help keep the trajectory low and under control.   The 75 gram ProForce 75 offers slightly more overall weight than most ultralights--a feel desired by many stronger players.

Grafalloy Shafts

These shafts will add only $35 to $45 to the price of the wood over the price TT Dyn Gold steel.

 The Grafalloy Blue is the Ultra Light winner with the lowest torque of 2.8º, 62 grams and Dynamic Torsional Stability to improve accuracy with the oversize driver heads.

The Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue provides the optimum launch angle while utilizing decreased ballspin and maximum clubhead speed.  Varying weights from 44 grams to 80 grams are available. Torque ratings from 5.0 in the 45 series, 4.0 in the 55 series, about 3.0 in the 65 series, and 2.9 in the 75 series.

Here's the No. 1 ultralite driver shaft, the ProLite 35, on the PGA and Senior PGA Tours.

The ProLite 35 features a low torque of 3.5º with flexes: R, S, & X and weighs from 62 to 66 grams with mid-high flex point. Highly recommended for drivers.
